Cardboard Challenge Has Begun!

As you may already know, students are now working in teams to design arcade games made completely out of cardboard and items easily found around the house and classroom. Both sixth grade classes have seen the short video called, "Caine's Arcade" which chronicles the inspiration behind Cardboard Challenge, now an international event hosted in schools and other organ​izations in the month of October. Room 4 students have begun collecting cardboard, so parents, don't throw away those boxes! We ask that you keep them stored at home for now, but the major building will take place at school on Wednesday, October 11, and the Cardboard Challenge Festival will be on Friday, October 13. Parents, you are invited to attend the festival on Friday!

Students are not allowed to bring a hot glue gun to school, so the only building students may do at home is hot gluing small items to the cardboard. If you have any questions, please contact me or Mrs. Yang. All major constructing will be done here at Rockdale.
